Here is a small recap of the Nationals: (You can see the gallery of pictures from the Nationals right below this, I have around 800-900 pictures from a bunch of different rodeo people. Thank you all so much for your pictures.)

  • Cory Kidd and Adam Plyler placed 1st in the first go round in team roping and 6th in the second go round. They advanced to the final round and placed 8th. Amazing! (Awards picture)
  • Nicole Ross placed seventh in the Queen's Contest. She placed in the top ten in the categories of modeling, personality, written test, appearance, two minute speech, and impromptu speech. Another amazing performance for South Carolina. (picture)
  • Jessica Bagley was 14 th in the final listing of cutting. Top 20 in the nation!
  • Ben Duke placed 20th in the first go round in Cutting with a score of 210 (220 was the highest score) and Daniel Fordham placed 42nd with a score of 206.
  • William Smith placed seventh in the first go round of saddle bronc and 32nd in the final average.
  • Tye Walters and Justin Boggs placed 37 in the first go round of team roping
  • Teneka Dixon placed 50th and Jennifer Walpole placed 51st and in the average for goats. Top 25%.
  • Jarred Linton finished 26th in the average in calf roping. Top 25%.
  • Taylor Owens finished 46th and Teneka Dixon finished 49th in the average in breakaway. Top 25 %
  • Elizabeth Curtis finished 37th in the average for poles. Top 25%.
  • Josh Johnson finished 56th and Brian Thompkins finished 61st in the average for bulls. Top 30%.
  • Seniors Elizabeth Curtis, Teneka Dixon, Jarred Linton, Taylor Owens, William Smith, Jennifer Walpole each received a $500 scholarship from the NHSRA. In addition, Taylor Owens recieved another $500 Tip of the Hat Scholarship from the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association and Amanda Sartain received a $1250 scholarship from the Preston G.
