Nationals 2006 Results

• Ethan Cory and Cory Kidd placed 10^th in the first go round in team roping with a time of 8.036 seconds and 22^nd in the second go round with a time of 8.473 seconds, they advanced to the final round and placed 15^th.
• Justin Boggs and Derick Alexander were 28^th in team roping in the first go round with a time of 9.866 seconds.
• Ben Duke placed 18^th in the first go round in Cutting
• Jessica Bagley was 25^th in the second go round of cutting with a score of 213.5
• Troy Cannon placed 10^th in the first go round in Bareback with a score of 73, 22^nd in the second go round with a score of 71, and 19^th in the Final Round
• Amanda Sartain placed 13^th in the first go round in Breakaway, 3.179 seconds and placed 8^th in the first go round of the queen horsemanship contest
• Elizabeth Curtis was 31^st in poles in the second go round with a time of 21.094
• Tye Walters was 28^th in steer wrestling in the second go round with a time of 5.99 seconds
• Mikey Gulledge ($3000 Wrangler) , Norman Horton ($500), Crystal Roddy ($500), and Kyle Jordan ($500) received scholarships from NHSRA
• SC lost in the first round of the volleyball tournament with the intentions of bringing volleyball nets to our 2 day rodeos to practice for next year. Special thanks to Bill Smith for being our Volleyball coach.
• Our student officers (William Smith, Taylor Owens, and Kasey Ashcraft) participated with the Special Kids Rodeo
• The SC team appeared on the front page of the Springfield paper from the opening ceremonies as well as the front page of the daily Rodeo Journal. Taylor Owens also appeared in the Rodeo Journal.
• Our basket won first place, had a bid of $1200. Our scrapbook won us fourth place in the State/Province of the year contest. Thanks to Wendy Allen and Wendy Cully for all their hard work
