i was just wondering when the results from the hartsville rodeo would be posted?

Savannah I will be posting the results and points probably tonight.  I have had a busy week at work and then a root canal (which was not fun) so I am a little late getting them up.  Typically I get the results Sunday night and after getting everything checked and double checked they are usually posted by Wed night.  Sorry to be a little slow this week.  -  Ginny Sloan

I was wondering if yall would be doing exb. at the Wrangler Rodeo in Pelzer. I have a little girl interested in joining.  She wants to come watch and just see how her horse does at the rodeo.  They are new to the sport and mom want to get a feel for it. Plus Plezer is really close for them. Thanks so much for your help.

The Palmetto Posse is looking for one (1) rider to fill a position on their competition quad team. Rider must be 18 or older (exceptions will be made for exceptional rider/horse pair), have own horse, Western tack, reliable transportation, dedication and commitment for 1 year, able to practice each Sunday afternoon weather permitting. Both Friday and Saturday Draw Sheets for Hartsville are on the rodeo call in page.  Don't forget to print off the school form and get it signed so you can ride. 

Couple of Announcements

• We will have exhibitions in the barrels on Friday night after the slack!  Open to anyone, $5.00 each. 
• This year you will need to print your own draw sheet from the website.  We will not have extra copies at the secretary table.
• If you want to buy your child's birthday or put something in the calendar for next year, please see Hope McCalister this weekend.  $5.00 per date!
• If you don't have a picture this weekend, it will be ok.  We will give directions on how to upload your picture!

Hope you guys are gearing up for a new year.  The call-in information for next weekend is on the call-in page.  Don't forget to call in please!  The student officers are hosting a welcome back swim party on Saturday at 1:00.  We are going to eat hot dogs, listen to music and have a good time!  An informational/parent meeting will be at the same time in the clubhouse.  

If you are on facebook, please join our page!  You can also go to The Roping Pen and vote for your favorite cover!  Several of the covers are kids that belong to SCHSRA!  Check in out and vote for the two cowboys together, the pretty one in pink or the kid with the donkey!

Just wanted everyone to know that the Rodeo School Forms have been added to forms pages and also on the call in pages.

The 2008-2010 Rulebook has also been added to the forms pages.  It is a good idea to read over the rules of your events.

Hey y'all! i just wanted to let everyone know, sadly, i'm selling my good barrel horse.  He is consistently in the 1d, he finished 3rd for the year in the 1d in our district, and also won the youth 1d for the year. He is a very consistent horse, i've owned him for 2 years and only hit 3 barrels. He is not a barrel hitter.  He is very easy to ride and get along with.  Just sit there, kick and kiss.  He's a 15 year old dark, dark bay with a white stripe.  He is a OWN son of Sticks An Stones.  He has been to some rodeos and done well. All you have to do is keep him legged up during the week, he doesn't need to see a barrel unless at a show, he's also good on trail rides and loves attention.  He is UTD on shots, coggins, and stands wonderfully for the farrier.  I'm only selling due to having so many and being in college, dont miss this opportunity!  He would be great for NBHA's, high school rodeo, and even jr. rodeo.  Please call me at 803-331-6496.  I can email pics and videos!! email: aculley10@yahoo.com

My son is desperately wanting to follow in his uncle's footsteps and ride in SCHSRA. However, with my job, I'm not sure if I can get him to all of the rodeos. Is there anyone in the Greenville, SC area that would be willing to discuss transportation?

What a great Annual Meeting! It was great seeing everyone. It looks like we are going to have a terrific year in both the High School and Jr. High Divisions.
