This year, South Carolina and the SCHSRA will host its fourth year of Junior Division Rodeos. Our goal is to host eight qualifying rodeos and a State Finals Rodeo. The top four qualifiers in an event will have the opportunity to participate in the 2011 Junior High Rodeo Finals in Gallup, New Mexico. In addition to competing for more than $75,000 in prizes, JHFR contestants will also be vying for more than $50,000 in college scholarships and the chance to be named the Junior High Finals Rodeo National Champion. Competition is open to boys and girls in the sixth, seventh, and eighth grades in the year proceeding the National Finals. For example, a student would be in sixth, seventh or eighth grade in the 2010-2011 school year to compete in the July 2011 National Finals Rodeo. Contestants must have a current Jr. High Division Membership and maintain good conduct and grades to compete in any State Qualifier Rodeo and the National Finals Rodeo. You may contact Lloyd Wilson at (864)238-6852with any questions.
